I love this program. I’ve been a volunteer for a few years now and it astounds me that so many people can come together to raise so much money for this important cause.

It;s just one more way I can make a difference.

i’ve been submitting my “girls” since year two of the boobiethon and this is my second year as a volunteer. my life has crossed paths with a few breast cancer survivors who wouldn’t be here any more if it wasn’t for research, regular check-ups and awareness. i’m proud and thankful to be part of this and really love boobies smile

Mother. Legal Secretary. Movie & music fiend. Book reader. Blogger. Renthead. Lover of Springsteen and Gerry. Romantically challenged. I play Farmville. Get over it.

I volunteered because I think this is an excellent cause and everyone should be more aware, male & female.  Don’t be afraid of that mammogram!  It could save your life.  smile

I have been helping out with the Boobie-Thon since Mel took it over and have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it all.  What a great way to raise money for an importance cause!

Breast cancer has always been something about which I’ve been aware. I lost an aunt to breast cancer and have watched far too many friends and patients succumb to the disease. It’s time to stop breast cancer!

On a more upbeat note, I’ve been involved since the very first year and there’s no way I’d miss out on this event! So great to see so many of the same people here year after year and then to see new volunteers joining in to help.

I want to help do my part. Until I can afford to donate more, I donate my time.

As a healthcare provider for the last 20 years of my life, I have cared for men and women in the best and worst times of their lives. The humorous and irreverent approach of BoobieThon has just the right ring to me for education and fund-raising activities.
I am a volunteer in BoobieThon for my mother-in-law who is a 10 year survivor.  I also do this for all the other women in my life, including my daughters in the hopes that education and early detection will save their lives.

I suppose it’s stereotypical for a straight guy to jump when he sees the word “boobies,” but in all seriousness, breast cancer is something that should be a disease of the past already. In lieu of me having the mad science skills, if this helps even the tiniest bit toward curing this, I’m all for it.

I believe that cancer is the disease we must deal with. Breast cancer gets most of the attention so I help when I can towards this goal. I believe if/when we beat a form of cancer we will be much closer to beating all forms of cancer. Also, this idea just wouldn’t work as well for prostate cancer.

I have been a proud Boobiethon participant since 2006. A volunteer since 2008. Donating as much of my time and effort as humanly possible to the Boobiethon each year is the least I can do!

Because it’s the LEAST I can do!

This is my third year volunteering and sixth year participating and/or donating. My grandmother is a two-time breast cancer survivor, so I do this in honor of her as well as every person who’s ever been affected by the disease. Save the boobies!

I have participated in the past by sharing pictures because this is an important cause to me. Not just breast cancer, but female cancer in general. And most importantly, I’m all for doing something good for the world and at the same time pushing the boundaries of society’s “this is what’s accepted” guidelines.
