Once again, yet another successful Boobie-Thon is in the books! We blazed by last year's total take by almost $550! That's simply amazing considering the number of charitable organizations needing aid this year.

Our total amount raised in 2005 was $9240.40 — $7885.00 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation — and $1355.40 for the American Red Cross. Since beginning in 2002, we've raised over $26,000 total for breast cancer and blogger charities. Not too shabby for something that started as a "blog-joke" between friends. To everyone that linked and donated to the cause, thanks just doesn't seem to be enough!

I'd also like to note that we had almost 600 female and nearly 50 male photographs submitted to our photo sampler page* this year. And close to 300 photos were submitted to the pay-per-boobies page (access granted for those who donated $50 or more). Never in our wildest dreams... You all are truly amazing!

Last but certainly not least, no "thank you" would ever be complete without mentioning the volunteers who worked tirelessly around the clock making sure everything ran as smoothly as humanly possible. Of course we had our minor bumps and bruises along the way — but they all kept things together so you, the site viewer, never had a clue. An extra-special thanks go out to my coordinators Lisa (my rock and co-coordinator in 2006), Maggie (my therapist), Luka (who I will meet for margaritas soon), Mikey (who got more than he bargained for this year), and SJ (who knows it's tricky to rock a rhyme but did it all for the publicity anyway).
